Many have certainly heard about Dave Dodge who is well known among Honda V4 owners in both the US and in many other places to know all there is to know about Honda V4 motors. He has worked with engineering high performance and drag racing for many years at Russ Collins - RC Engineering (a name that is well known for those who was riding bikes in the '70's and '80's) as General Manager and has long experience from high performance jobs and rebuilding Honda V4 motors. He also used them in drag racing.

Dave Dodge works today with Honda V4 only in his business Dodge Racing & Promotion (DRP) and sells complete high performance kits, cams, oilmod, big bore-kits and performs all kind of motor- and rebuilding jobs at fair pricing and sells also entire motors, rebuilt and with different high performance stages.

After making a rough move from NC to AZ, things are finally starting to get back to normal. I started this new post to update my new address and contact info. I will be doing more on eBay selling used and machined components like heads, transmissions, and some hard to find engine parts I have had for a few years.

DRP specializes in Honda V4 performance products and services for year models 1982 to Present (excluding VF500). We make top-end oil mod kits (2 styles), cams, valve springs, titanium retainers, custom valves, forged pistons, connecting rods, Kevlar clutch kits, braided s.s. clutch and brake hose kits. We also stock a complete line of K&N filters, Dyna coils, Dyna ignitions, Keihin jets and carb parts, and OEM Honda engine parts, all at discount prices.

DRP is a known leader in V4 engine rebuilding and machine shop services. We offer top case boring and honing, transmission undercutting, head porting, competition valve jobs, crank work, carb rebuilding, and complete engine building and rebuilding.

Beware of this bullshit!

Mototune USA

Should be called "Breaking Secrets"
Breaking Secrets
The best method if you quickly want to kill your new or newly tuned motor

Here is the reason - and it's both simple and logical
Driving a new motor hard will make it "take off" faster/sooner that otherwise with a careful break-in may take as long as 6000-9000 miles (10,000-15,000 km) before the motor has got its full potential. But what hot-headed race-inspired bike-rider has the patience to wait that long?
So sure, you get more power sooner by a hard break-in, but you also lose the power sooner. Instead of having a motor that lasts maybe 62,000-125,000 miles (100,000-200,000 km) you'll get one that only lasts maybe 30,000 miles (50,000 km) if you're lucky.

So, the choice is yours. Do as you like. Maybe you say: "I won't keep the bike that long anyway". That may be true, but don't try to sell that "Mototune-method-breaked-in" bike to me after that - I don't want it. If I would want a dead motor I'd get one at the scrap yard ;-p
