Likes: All major kind of bike riding. Prefer the twisty road before the highway and I gladly put some VAT on the speed limits or even a + between the sign's (mach2 ;-)
I like riding to bike meetings and things like that (personal record, 19 meetings in one season).
Dislikes: Gravel roads, rain and lubing chains (the bike is shaft drive).

1989-1990 Honda XL500S 1980 (used - parallel with the V65 Sabre)

Only Honda?
Yes for some reason, but it has been close that got something else. Other brands and models I like or used to, and/or still like: BMW K1300S - R1200S, Drysdale V8, Kawasaki Concours 14, Laverda V6, Moto Guzzi MGS-01 Corsa, Triumph Sprint ST, Yamaha FJR1300, Yamaha XJ900 Strider + a number of Honda models.

I have been an active bike rider since 1976 with an unwilling interruption 2001-2003 with just a few hundred kilometers/season due to motor struggle. Read more about it at My V65 Sabre
I will probably never restart bike riding, cause than you have to quit first ;-)

I got in contact with Sabmag in the USA most by a lucky chance when I for fun made a search on the Internet on the brand name "Honda V65 Sabre". One of the first sites I found was Robyn Lander's site The Honda V4 Files and from there I found links to all kind of sites, among others The Compleat® SabMag Links where it came clear to me that I found an entire organization with a patch, mailing list, bulletin board (BBS), an own "house mechanic" by the name Dave Dodge and a lot of other things.

By the BBS-forum, the e-mail list and others I got a good contact with the people at the others side of the Atlantic Ocean and in August 2000 I went over there on a very memorable trip and made good acquaintance with among many others Larry Zoia, Ozzie, Jim Garnett and his RV, and with his help I was able to visit the Sabmag meet SMRockies, arranged by Doug Hathaway and Karen Ferguson in Salida, Colorado. On location I got in good acquaintance with a larger number of Honda V4-riders.

I spent totally a month in the USA and managed to experience a lot of things like a visit to the biker city Sturgis, Mount Rushmore, a longer trip from Michigan to North Carolina by Greyhound bus where I meet both Ozzie, Dave Dodge and Ray Campbell on the way back to Michigan.

After I got home I started to think about to try to see if there would be an interest to make a V4-meeting in Sweden. I mentioned my ideas on the e-mail list and got a response from somebody "I believe Sabmag Scandinavia has been spawned".
This made my ideas to speed up and after an ad in the magazine MC-Folket of the nation wide motorcycle organization SMC (something like AMA) that was overwhelming well received by the V4-riders in Sweden, Sabmag Scandinavia was formed with me as contact and Thomas Bigert as Webmaster. A meeting called SMS 1.0 was arranged in relation with the Svinträffen at Öland 2001.
After that Sabmag Scandinavia has grown remarkably. During the fall and winter 2003 Sabmag Scandinavia in Sweden and Honda V4 Scandinavia i Norway joined. The winter 2008-2009 formed the portal Honda V4 - Sabmag Scandinavia that today comprises a number of sites and forums in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland.

At the keys, yours humble
